Purpose.

To show the potential of multispiral computed tomography (MSCT) in the diagnosis of mandibular ameloblastoma at the pre - and postoperative stages of treatment and to demonstrate the importance of MSCT in choosing the tactics of necessary surgical intervention.

Materials and methods. A clinical case of a 42-year-old female patient with complaints of facial symmetry disorder and swelling in the lower jaw area. To detect changes, the patient was admitted by a maxillofacial surgeon to an MSCT study of the facial skeleton with intravenous contrast at the preoperative stage for planning surgical treatment¸ also for multiple CT-control in the postoperative period.

Results. During MSCT of the facial skeleton, the patient was diagnosed with CT-signs of a mass in the lower jaw body, the necessary surgical treatment was planned, and repeated dynamic monitoring of the postoperative period was performed.

Conclusion. The MSCT method allows you to get complete diagnostic information about the localization and size of ameloblastoma, which determines further treatment tactics and the type of necessary surgical intervention.
