The key to a successful result of dental implantation is a sufficient volume and quality of the bone structure, which can be achieved during the augmentation of the hole of the removed tooth. Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT)allows us to evaluate the parameters of the alveolar process/ part of the jaw for planning dental implantation operations after reconstruction.

Purpose. Improving the effectiveness of treatment of patients with partial secondary tooth absence by augmenting the holes after tooth extraction using a hyaluronic acid-based drug in combination with platelet-rich fibrin and osteoplastic material before dental implantation under the control of CLCT.

Materials and methods. The study involved 33 patients with a diagnosis of chronic periodontitis, traumatic tooth damage, who after the operation of tooth extraction performed augmentation of the hole, or led the hole of the tooth " under the clot. Patients underwent CBCT on a "Galileos" (Sirona) tomograph at the pre-and postoperative stages of treatment.

Results. According to the results of CBCT in group 1 of the study (the use of hyaluronic acid, platelet-rich fibrin, and bone-plastic material), 6 months after augmentation, the formed bone tissue was evenly traced throughout the entire volume of the well, and had a small-cell homogeneous structure. The average density of newly formed bone tissue was 976±225 HU. The width of the alveolar process/ part of the jaw after surgery was 9.10±1.61 mm (83% of the original). In comparison group 2 (maintaining the tooth well "under the clot"), after 6 months, the bone tissue had an unevenly formed, large-cell structure. The density of osteoregenerative amounted to 824±325 HU. The width after the operation in 6 months was 8.02±1.53 mm (77% of the original).

Conclusions. CLCT is an effective method for evaluating the use of bone-plastic material, a hyaluronic acid preparation rich in platelet-rich fibrin for augmentation of the alveolar process/ part of the jaw before dental implantation.
