Difficulties of differential diagnosis of visceral larva migrans in a child

Purpose. On the example of a clinical case to show difficulties of differential diagnosis of a visceral form of toxocariasis in a child shown as disseminated process in lungs.

Materials and methods. Clinical observation is given. The retrospective analysis of the data obtained from laboratory tests and instrumental studies, allowed to make the correct final diagnosis and choose optimum tactics of treatment of the patient.

Results. The presented clinical observation allowed to show the difficulties in differential diagnosis of disseminated lung process in a child and also the need of comprehensive multidisciplinary approach for the correct diagnosis.

Conclusion. If the dissemination syndrome in lungs is presented, taking into account a similar clinics and lack of pathognomonic radiological symptoms, a basis of the correct diagnosis making is multidisciplinary approach..
