Radiological examination of immediate implant placement in patient with external cervical resorption

The importance external cervical resorption radiological diagnostics and endodontic or surgical treatment is determined by lack of specific clinical features of internal root resorption and high esthetic demands in reconstructing these teeth. Purpose. To provide clinical and x-ray features in diagnostics and surgical treatment with dental implants and bone substitudes. Materials and methods. The provided literature data and case study of surgical treatment of external cervical resorption with immediate implant placement utilizing radiological diagnosis. Results. The article describes x-ray semiotics of external cervical resorption, with clinical features of immediate implant placement Conclusions. The research revealed the necessity of full-scale x-ray diagnostics of external cervical resorption. Implant placement is indicated in severe loss of internal tooth structures or tooth perforation. |
