Purpose.

To demonstrate the clinical case of nonspecific 68Ga-PSMA uptake into non-tumor intracerebral hematoma in patient with prostatic cancer.

Material and methods. A clinical case of 70-year-old patient with prostate cancer, who was hospitalized with intracerebral hematoma, suspected as hemorrhage into cerebral metastasis of prostatic cancer.

Results and discussion. The clinical case has been demonstrated a false-positive uptake of 68Ga-PSMA in non-tumor intracerebral hematoma in a patient with prostate cancer. Angiogenesis with vascular proliferation and macrophage infiltration in the tissues surrounding the intracerebral hematoma are the most likely causes of nonspecific focal uptake of 68Ga-PSMA in the brain.

Conclusion. Knowing the causes of non-specific uptake of 68Ga-PSMA, which may lead to false-positive results PET/CT, is important for nuclear medicine physicians.
