nomalies of the lower jaw development often lead to a violation of the chewing function and pronounced facial deformity. To eliminate such changes, an accurate diagnosis of the nature of the disease is necessary, which determines the need to use radiology methods first of all. A clinical case of rare condylar process of the lower jaw hypertrophy (Jacob syndrome) in a young woman is presented. X-ray diagnostics allowed us to establish the presence of hypertrophy of the condylar process of the lower jaw, and scintigraphy showed the absence of continued growth of this condylar process, which contributed to the choice of adequate treatment.
