FIRST-TIME DEPRESSION IN PATIENTS WITH ACUTE CORONARY SYNDROME

Depression is common in people with a recent acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and is predicted to be at higher risk of mortality compared to patients without depression. However, the mechanisms underlying the development of depression after ACS are not fully understood.

The article presents a review of modern domestic and foreign literature on the pathophysiological relationships between depression and myocardial ischemia, diagnosis and management of patients with depression after ACS, methods of visualization of the pathological condition.
