Regarding the development of a wide range of cosmetic procedures and surgical techniques in reconstructive plastic surgery, today the understanding of the three-dimensional visualization of the facial skeleton bone and soft tissue structures has the key role in order to perform detailed preoperative planning and exclude possible complications after surgical treatment.

Due to the extreme relevance of this problem, the literature review of the facial "dangerous zones" in the practice of radiologists and plastic surgeons is presented. The main neurovascular tracts of the maxillofacial region are described, which are necessary for planning of any types of surgical treatment. A review of the main radiology methods used for this kind of visualization before surgical rejuvenation procedures is presented. Difficulties and prospects of developing a unified algorithm for examining patients before surgical reconstructive plastic treatment based on detailed visualization of the facial "dangerous zones" are discussed.
