his article presents a literature review and our own data on the role of computed tomography (CT) in the evaluation of patients with critical aortic stenosis before transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). The review includes data on standard CT protocols for the evaluation of aortic valve complex anatomy, the works devoted to the comparative analysis of manual and semi-automatic image processing methods, selection of the optimal phase of the cardiac cycle for CT before TAVI, comparison of CT and echocardiography data for measuring the aortic valve orifice area, evaluation of aortic valve calcinosis severity, and promising directions of CT in the examination of patients before TAVI.
